About Paul DeJong:
With a breakout 2017 season, Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong took the league by storm, homering in his first major league at-bat and finishing the year with a .285 batting average, 25 home runs. DeJong finished second in National League Rookie of the Year voting after that stellar season. The Cardinals locked their star rookie prior to the 2018 season with a six-year contract to remain the team’s starting shortstop.
