Tyrann Mathieu
Tyrann Mathieu was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was ranked the number 13 overall cornerback in the country coming out of high school and chose to attend LSU under Les Miles from 2010 to 2011. During this time, he was nicknamed “Honey Badger” after developing a reputation for forcing turnovers.
In November 2012, Mathieu announced he would enter the upcoming NFL Draft. Mathieu was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2013 draft. In 2018, Mathieu signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans. In 2019, Mathieu signed a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. They went to win the Super Bowl in 2020.
In May 2022, it was announced Mathieu would be returning home after signing a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.
